Good VERY EARLY MORNING All!!!
If you have been following my site you SHOULD have noticed I have a "Rock the Red Pump" banner on my page.
When I was a teenager, my uncle, my father figure, my closest family member, was diagnosed with HIV. I watch him go from perfectly healthy, to being very ill, to dying within 24 hours of choosing not to go on with his medication and leaving this earth peacefully.
It was a very hard experience for me, but he taught me a lot, made me appreciate and value my life more and also made me understand that HIV/AIDS can happen to ANYONE.
I know the RED PUMP PROJECT is geared towards women and girls, but I know that HIV/AIDS affects EVERYONE, man woman or child. How can I not support ANY ORGANIZATION or MOVEMENT that wants to help bring awareness of HIV/AIDS to everyone.
So ladies, if you got some red shoes in your closet...ROCK THEM TODAY!! If not, wear something red anywhere...I don't care if it's your drawers. HIV/AIDS is real. Protect yourself, your partner and show some love and compassion to those already living with the disease because you aren't immune to it.
For more information about the RED PUMP PROJECT visit http://www.theredpumpproject.com/ and be sure to follow them on twitter @RedPumpProj
* Straight from my kitchen floor, the RED PUMP I'm rocking today*
